Weekly Vocabulary
Your internship sites are rich with new and unfamiliar terms or phrases. One of the goals of the internship is to further develop your english language proficiency. Every week from now on you are to publish a post about new vocabulary words or phrases that have encountered or picked up "on the job." There is a template provided below for you to use each week. Your goal is at least five. Please give the word/phrase, what it means, and the context in which you came across it.
Word:Legacy
Meaning:1 Law. a gift of property, esp. personal property, as money, by will; a bequest.
Context:My Legacy for my Intern is to bring it up from where he at to get more money and have more fun and more party,and to help the comunity more.
Word:Blind
Meaning:unable to see; lacking the sense of sight; sightless: a blind man.
Context: MR Patterson is The knew Mayor of the United Stated.
Word:Property
Meaning:that which a person owns; the possession or possessions of a particular owner: They lost all their property in the fire.
Context:My Intern own the company of HAAPA&HABNET.
Word:Goal
Meaning:the result or achievement toward which effort is directed; aim; end.
Context:My goal for me is to finish my internship without having no problem and to go to college.
Word:compation
Meaning:a feeling of deep sympathy and sorrow for another who is stricken by misfortune, accompanied by a strong desire to alleviate the suffering.
Context: Governor Spitzer had a lot of corrage,when he elect Patterson.
Word:Gorgeous
Meaning:rich, superb, grand; brilliant, resplendent, glittering, dazzling. See magnificent.
Context: the weekend was so gorgeous
Word:Brilliant
Meaning:shining brightly; sparkling; glittering; lustrous: the brilliant lights of the city.
Context:I was so BRilliant when i was giving my intern idea about the party
Word:Wonderful
Meaning:excellent; great; marvelous.
Context:We all had a wonderful weekend.
Word:HAAPA/HABN
Meaning:HAITIAN AMERICAN PROGREST ACTION.And HAITIAN AMERICAN BUSINESS NERTWORK
Context:My Intern is at the head of my company.
Word:Economic
Meaning:pertaining to the production, distribution, and use of income, wealth, and commodities.
Context:People alwayse fight for moeny as the governer was fighting to see if he could make a deal with the economic people but they din't agree with him.
Word: Believe
Meaning:to have confidence in the truth, the existence, or the reliability of something, although without absolute proof that one is right in doing so: Only if one believes in something can one act purposefully.
Context: I believe i can fly, i sow Jesus flying
Word:Political
Meaning:of, pertaining to, or concerned with politics: political writers.
Context:At Bagdad the UN is taking over
Word:Secrets
Meaning:Kept hidden from knowledge or view; concealed.
Context:I alwayse have a secret,Jenifer lopez was hading that she was pregnant,but they found out any way
Word:Condense
Meaning:To reduce the volume or compass of.
Context:My familly alwayse try to condense me.
Word:Jimmy
Meaning:a short crowbar.
Contex: I usually flattened and slightly bent at one or both ends.

Daily Post
Make a daily post on your internship days. Just do a short write up of what happened and what you did that day at your internship. You do not have to have a daily post for non-internship days, unless, of course, you want to post something.

Me and Mr.Andrew went to my Intetern office with me because he wanted to ask question about me ,he ask what did i do well or bad he keep forcing to try if he couldn't found something bad from my intern ,but i guess i was doing pretty well, and i sow where i was working he like it and he like the chair to oh yea.and he sow everything we had a lot of fun talking together and laugth together you know it's was fun.And after he left i was putting 800 mail's on there place and theuy had to be in other.
Today i was puthing the envelope on there mail's,and that was not only me Avline &Doudie was at my company to they where helping me cause it's more then 800 mail,yea and we had to put them in other,from A to Z.
Today we was still doing the same thing put the name of the people in other,me and doubie was doing it and after we was done we had to do it againg because it was diferent,we had to start the name like if ur name is a in a, you the first one then A and B and next untill we done.
Today We was stilll calling people today because we have to remind them of the event of the party that going to be the 17 through the 19 so yea we going to have fun cause most of the artist is going to be the like ll cou J,J-Z most of them so you a lot of fun for me now.
Today we did something diferent we was having fun cause Ms Carol was there and i was taking picture of Avline and Doubi ,where they was working i had fun cause i tock picture like a profetional,and for Ms Carol to,then she was talking to there internship then we went to my office and Ms Carol came and she sow us and we was talking laughing a lot ,it was a good day today.And after that i was cleaning the all office in picking up the garbage.
Today i was sweepinz the all day .and after that i was calling people,and i was puthing the envelope on there mail's,and that was not only me Avline &Doudie was at my company to they where helping me cause it's more then 800 mail,yea and we had to put them in other,from A to Z.
Today i was stilll calling people still because we have to remind them of the event of the party that going to be the 17 through the 19 so yea we going to have fun cause most of the artist is going to be the like ll cou J,J-Z most of them so you a lot of fun for me now.And i ask them for ther fax number in email adress.
Today i was faxing people mail to remind the about the party thta's going to happend on april 17 throughout the 19,and after that i was cleaning the all office.

The End of the first Week Intership

2. It's Haapa& Habnetthey =Haitian American Association for Progressive Action They work for the Gouverment .

4.My mentor is the chieff of the company ,is a nice person ,he does'nt barther nobody at all,he love his work.And his a men that his honest about what his doing,and alwayse try to help you if you get stuck on something.And the first time when i went to see my mentor he told me what i wanted to do when i go to college and i told him ,he told me what was good about the job,and what would be better for me.
5.The first day when i went to my internshipseminar i was scared,but i was there on time,he was not,i call him and he know my name i was like what? he told me that he was coming so i wait for him,then he sow up and we went upstair he ask me for my Resume and i gave it to him and he told me why did i choose heir and i told him because i alwayse love and dream to work and a office,and i told him that i heard that he was and Haitian,he was like ok.
7.Well a lot have been knowing stuff on the computer that i din't know like mail in labers,is like if you save something or want to type some information so you do tha on mail in labers . And i call people if i don't found there Adress,i have been writting people name to send to there Houses.
8. The cool thing that i did was sitting on my office calling people and it was really fun ,yea alot.And sometime me in my mentor just talk.yea
9.I live school at 11:35
10.It tock me 1hours.
11. Sometime went home at 7 or 6:30
12.I work everyday for 5 or 6 Hours or 4 Hors
13.Only my mentor signe my card for me cause there is nobody else.
14. Can you tell him if i could work for 2 or 3 days only because i have to get ready for the regenst and sometime i have to do my Homework to you know,u know.

the third Week asignement

Give as much specific detail as you can. Elaborate. Explain. Expound. Delineate. Illustrate. Use a lot of words. Treat this like an English class writing assignment. Use complete sentences with correct grammar and punctuation.
The activity that i im working on right mow on my Intershipseminar is that my Intern is going to have a party on April 14&16.And i have to call people that are not on the list and Invited them to the Party and make sure that they really coming.And is only for the Haitian,and i have been knowing how much that they are going to sall the tikect,it's 126& and they been telling me where the party is going to it's in Manathan ,and howthey going to do the party.and his going to be a biss party because it's been a long time that Haapa and Haabnet never celebrate.

What did you do during your second week?
I went to the computer,and look for the name of some people.And call them if i could'nt found where they where living and their adress.
How was it different than the first week?
Well they din't found one for me yet, the second week was my first week.
What is something that you really like about the internship?
The way that they been treated me ,and i love my office it's nice and clean.
What is something you dislike about the internship?
Actually nothing yet.

I read a lot of studen blood but if i coment them whose going to listening about what i sad to them nobody.

Jimmy E Intership
I work for the HAAPA it's a (Haitian-American association for progressive action) is a network of Haitian-American business owners and professionals.Our mission is to enpower the Haitian-American community economically and politically throught our two divitions: the Haitian-American business network(HABNET) is to support and promote Haitian-American entrepretneurs and others who service the Haitian-American community;and the Haitian-American association for Political Action (HAAPA-PAC) a Political action committee to help elect candidates who are sensitive to the interests of Haitian-American constituents.
